By approving and signing the quote, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of the contract. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Snow Removal Service Contract

ZS Projects and the person(s) mentioned in the quote above


1. Term of Service

  • Snow removal services will commence on November 1st, 2024 and end on April 30th, 2025. Please note that significant snowfalls can occur in March and April, making these months just as critical for snow removal.


2. Service Schedule

  • Snow Removal Timing: Our teams begin snow removal after the snow has completely stopped falling. We do not clear snow during active snowfall or high winds (gusts over 40 KPH), as it may lead to rapid snow accumulation again.
  • Completion Time: We strive to clear your property within 24 hours after snow stops falling. However, in extreme cases, this may take up to 48 hours.
  • Multiple Clearances: We do not clear snow multiple times during a single snowfall event. If snow is expected to continue falling for more than 12 hours, we will wait until the event ends before clearing.
  • Accumulation Threshold: Snow removal is triggered only if the accumulation exceeds 2 cm. In cases of minor snowfalls, we wait until the total accumulation reaches 2 cm before dispatching our crews.


3. Equipment Used

The following tools, including but not limited to, may be used for snow clearing:

  • Blowers
  • Plows
  • Throwers
  • Shovels
  • Scrapers

Note: If your driveway is made of gravel, ZS Projects is not responsible for any gravel that ends up on your lawn during the service.


4. Payment Terms

  • Monthly Payments: Payment is required upfront on the first day of each month. A first-month deposit is due upon sign-up.
  • Full Season Contract: You may choose to pay the full season amount upfront or opt for a monthly subscription for the length of the contract.
  • Missed Payments: Service will be suspended if payments are missed. Work will not be completed for any months with missed payments.


5. Liability and Waiver

  • Not Responsible for Death or Injury: ZS Projects is not liable for any death, injury, or harm caused to any person as a result of the snow removal services or weather-related conditions on the property.
  • No Responsibility for Third Parties: ZS Projects is not responsible for any activities, accidents, or damages caused by third parties or external factors beyond our control, including but not limited to neighboring properties, municipal services, or other contractors.
  • Acts of God: ZS Projects is not responsible for any delays or failures in snow removal services due to Acts of God, including but not limited to extreme weather events, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Client Responsibilities: You are responsible for ensuring your driveway and sidewalks are free from hazards such as extension cords, garden hoses, downspouts or any other obstacles that may cause damage to our equipment or pose a risk to our staff.


6. Service Limitations

  • No Service for Rubber Paving: We do not clear driveways with rubber paving.
  • No Service for Home-Based Businesses.
  • No Ice Removal: Our services do not include ice removal.
  • Melted Snowfalls: We do not clear snowfalls that are expected to melt within 24 hours.


7. Extreme Weather and Other Conditions

  • High Winds: We will not clear snow during periods with winds over 40 KPH gusting to 60 KPH. Clearing snow during these conditions may result in rapid re-accumulation, making the effort counterproductive.
  • Blizzards and Heavy Snowfalls: During extreme weather events, such as blizzards, our response time may be delayed, but rest assured that our team is working to clear snow as quickly as possible.
  • Extreme Cold Warnings: During extreme cold, only fresh snow clearing will be performed. Service calls for additional work will be suspended until conditions improve.


8. Cancellation and Holidays

  • Cancellation Fee: All snow contracts are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
  • Minimum of 2 weeks notice is required for cancellations.
  •  No exchange or return of services possible.
  • ZS Projects reserves the right to cancel any contract at any time without any obligation to refund the client for that month’s service fee. Amount for the remaining months of the contract, after the cancellation month, will be refunded.
  • Holiday Service: On holidays like Christmas, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, snowfalls of 5 cm or less will be cleared the following day. For snowfalls exceeding 5 cm, regular service will apply.


9. Additional Terms and Conditions

  • Insurance Requirements: For insurance purposes, we must receive your signed and paid quote approval before services begin.
  • Special Requests: If you require additional work beyond the agreed-upon snow removal, please contact our office. Any extra requests will be handled the following day to ensure timely service for all clients.
  • Communication: If anything is missed or not done to your satisfaction, please contact our office immediately. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly.
